In order to meet these ambitious targets, we need to understand our customers’ objectives and develop world-class solutions to their problems. That is where you- as a Sales Engineer - come in 

Our users are petrol station owners around the globe who are using our software to transform the way they are working. Our customers have binned their spreadsheets and post-it notes they have been using for 30 years to tap into the live, accessible and valuable insight that we provide.

In 2019 we expanded the Edge solution and introduced Edge BI tool - EdgeAnalytics. This was in direct response to those clients looking to delve deeper into their data to spot trends and revisit strategies. As this product heads towards a full commercial launch we are in need of a Sales Engineer to work closely with customers, the Customer Success team, Product, and external partners Looker (owned by Google) to enhance the EdgeAnalytics offering.

Reporting to the VP of Customer Success, you will be critical in the evolving success of EdgeAnalytics. Being comfortable and experienced in understanding customer pain points/requirements and being able to translate these into effective solutions is a must for this role. You will help shape the overall development of the EdgeAnalytics platform and be the go-to person in the business. This is a cake baked with a consultative mindset with SQL as the icing.

We are looking for someone who is highly motivated, a self-starter and results orientated to join our team with offices in NYC and London. In order to be considered for this role, you MUST meet our four core values:

 Role responsibilities:

  •  Manage the development of EdgeAnalytics in response to customer requirements
  • Translate customer problems/opportunities into analytical platform capabilities
  • Work closely with Customer Success, Sales and clients to find innovative solutions
  • Be the accountable person forEdgeAnalytics in the business
  •  Educate customers on the technical capabilities/features of the platform
  • Hands-on development using SQL and LookML
  • Manipulating and importing data
  • Collaborate with our engineering team, and partners Looker to resolve technical issues

What we're looking for in you:

  • You must have at least 2 years + SQL experience
  • You must have at least 2 years +experience in a customer facing role - Consultancy/sales
  • You have prior experience working in the B2B space and with data/analytics software
  • You are a natural problem solver
  • You constantly seek to further your knowledge in your field
  • You are a fast learner
  • You have strong written and verbal communication skills
  • You NEVER SAY DIE and strive towards reaching business and personal goals

Nice-to-haves:

  • Prior experience in a fast paced start-up
  • Prior experience working with SaaS products
  • Prior experience working with BI software tools such as Looker, PowerBI, etc.
